Classes Offered

Gymnastics Lane is the host of the Seymour High School Gymnastics Team.  IHSAA governs our team practices and competitions.

Toddler Time
A parent and child class designed to enhance motor skill development through structured play.  Toddlers will spend the majority of the class on the floor and each week spends time on a different Olympic event.  The atmosphere is safe and fun.

Tiny Tot Gymnastics
Learning is fun for gymnasts in this program geared toward continued motor skill development, basic gymnastics skills & fitness.

Kinder Kids Gymnastics
This class is very similar to Tiny Tots with a bit more structure without diminishing the fun.  Designed to teach fundamental gymnastics movements & fitness.

Recreational Classes for Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced
As a sport, gymnastics excels in developing the total athlete.  Each apparatus contributes to the development of such attributes as speed, power, coordination & flexibility.  Recreational classes mark the beginning of actual Olympic style gymnastics training with four events for gymnasts.  These classes are placed by skill level.

Cheer Tumbling
Tumbling classes are geared specifically toward students who would like to learn and perfect tumbling skills. Tumbling helps one develop power, agility, flexibility & spatial awareness.  We will focus on students advancing their tumbling skills.
*Coaches are available to work with entire squads on tumbling skills.  Please contact the office if you would like your squad to work individually with coaches.

Home School
Home school classes are fun for boys and girls in a structured open gym environment to earn a P.E. credit.  This program is geared toward strength development, basic gymnastics skills & fitness which will also help develop coordination, speed, power & flexibility.  Call the gym for availablity.

Open Gym
Ages: All ages
Fee: $8 for non-members and $5 for members
Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:30 pm & Saturdays 10:00 – 11:30 am
Open gym is a great way to get extra practice on those skills you’ve been working so hard to master.  The gym will be open to all ages during this time.

Coaches will invite girls to join the competition team.  Gymnasts will train 3-4 days a week.  Levels 2-5 are compulsory and levels 6-10 are optional levels under USA Gymnastics Rules & Regulations.  Girls will compete in Indiana to qualify for the State Meet.
